London weddings are never dull. I photograph a lot of weddings in London and see all sorts of venues. Nothing quite summed up London as much as Rachael and Tom’s wedding. On one hand you can’t get more London than the church, St Mary Le Bow. It’s the stuff cockneys and Dick Whittington are made of. It’s an iconic church in the heart of the city and I can confirm those bells are loud! Then onto the reception venue. MC Motors is a former garage in Dalston, an area which has seen a surge in popularity in recent years. The original garage facade, down a side street, gives way to the tardis-like warehouse inside. Its understated and relaxed cool makes it one of the most interesting venues I’ve had the pleasure of working at. Throw in an international mix of guests, a very cool band and of course the lovely Rachael and Tom and you have a memorable and unique London wedding.

Harry Richards PhotographyI don’t think I’ve seen so many shafts of light in a single wedding. Beautifully exploited! The recessional after the ceremony must have been hard to catch with the movement and exposure but it’s spot on – just enough detail in the highlights and the shadows.March 5, 2015 – 1:16 am
