Being asked to photograph a wedding by a creative is always an honour and a challenge. It’s flattering that your work is appreciated and at the same time you know that you have to push yourself to meet expectations. And so when Jon, who’s an art director in Oz, contacted me to photograph his wedding this summer, I felt that sense of excitement and expectation.
Luckily for me Louise and Jon are two seriously relaxed and fun loving people who made photographing their wedding an absolute joy. Throw in a killer sunset and my first visit to Mountains Country House was a happy one.
Kent wedding photographer, Rik Pennington, at Valentine’s Mansion.
Some amazingly kind words from Jon: “Rik is fantastic – in my opinion – one of the very best wedding photographers in the country. As an Art Director – choosing the photographer was my one responsibility for the wedding. I looked at over 100 portfolios and Rik’s stood out head and shoulders above anyone else. His cinematic wides and personal reportage style blew me away. The photos we got of our wedding have given us some amazing memories to keep. We couldn’t have asked for more.”
Lorenzo PhotographyI’m always in awe when i look at your work. This is no exception. Love the hat shot. Brave!September 6, 2013 – 6:14 pm
